Welcome to the Consul General of Greece

Consul General of Greece for the eight Western United States based in San Francisco, Mr Grigorios Tassiopoulos will be making his first visit to the State of Washington along with his wife as part of his official duties including visits with the greater Church communities; (including Parish Council &  Philoptochos presidents); and specifically with the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies including the Hellenic Studies Program; the Greeks-American Historical Museum of Washington founder John Nicon as well as  our community business people He is slated to be in Seattle from Wednesday noon Oct 7 thru Friday afternoon Oct 9.

A  community gathering for Hellenes of the NW, members of the Order of AHEPA and parishioners of both Seattle parishes, is set for Church of the Assumption on Thursday evening October 8th,  5:30pm to 7:30pm. This will be a "meet and greet" reception (light appetizers) and will include a presentation by the Consul General followed by a question and answer period. A small no-host dinner gathering will follow this event at a restaurant and will include parish leadership representatives.   

It has been several years since our area has had a visit by a Consul General. Mr Tassiopoulos is completing his second year in San Francisco having previously served the same role in China and the Ukraine. We look forward to his arrival, for him to meet our communities and for us to hear his message.
